Working from Home – 6 Ways to Organise Your Time

Sposoby na organizację czasu przy pracy zdalnej

Working from home is increasingly part of our everyday lives, whether it’s our own choice or an order from above. Spending the whole day at home, we should organise our time so that we get our work done while not losing our minds and still looking after the family. All so we can preserve our health, our weight and our inner calm. Here’s how to achieve it!

Make a to-do list every day

Before you go to sleep, think about what you need to do tomorrow. From the moment you get out of bed, work through the items on the list consistently. Split your tasks into work, household chores and family matters.

It’s not as easy as it may seem. It takes around 20 days to form a habit. But we believe you can do it 🙂

What regular items should such a list include?

1. A quick tidy-up every day

Add a quick tidy-up to your daily task list. One day dust the shelves, another day wipe the worktops, the next put away the dishes from the drying rack. That way you’ll always be in an orderly space, which will give you peace of mind in even the most uncertain and chaotic situation.

2. Protecting your valuables

Wallet, keys, documents – leave them in one place; you don’t need them that much right now. If you ever have doubts about where they are, you can check with a notiOne tracker. Once you switch on the right feature in the app, you’ll be able to check whether the tracker on your keys is ringing where it should be.

Also protect the things that tend to go missing around the flat – children’s toys are one of those items worth fitting with a notiOne. You know full well what a tragedy it is for a child, and how much stress it costs you, to hunt for their most treasured toy. The same goes for your phone. Luckily, when you press the notiOne, it will ring even when it’s on silent.

You may also be worried about your car – thieves never sleep, and you can’t see it from the window. A small notiOne tracker hidden in the car will let you check, without leaving the house, whether the vehicle is where you left it.

Order a notiOne tracker today – deliveries are running as normal 🙂

3. Meals

#zostańwdomu (#stayathome) is the perfect opportunity to learn, say, how to bake bread. Or maybe there’s a recipe you’ve always wanted to try but never had the time for?

Remember that breakfast is the most important meal – it’s what gives you energy for the whole day. It should provide essential nutrients and be filling. Each subsequent meal should be lighter than the last.

Cut down on unhealthy snacks. After all, you don’t want to leave the house 5 kg heavier once the restrictions are lifted 🙂 Set a limit: one chocolate bar a day, or two – no more! The healthiest option is snacking on vegetables – they’re low in calories, so you won’t put on weight, and you’ll give your body the nutrients it needs.

4. Exercise

It’s important to make time for physical activity too. There are plenty of online workouts available that you can do at home. Focus on strengthening your back – these are also exercises for your glutes and arms. You’ll reduce muscle tension, but also lower the likelihood of headaches and slouching. Any physical activity supports your immune system and improves your mood. You can exercise with your partner, or even with the children – it’ll be great fun for them!

5. Time together

With so much on your plate, it’s easy to forget about others. Loved ones need conversation and time spent together – that’s how we build a sense of security. Make sure you find a moment every day for shared activities.

6. Looking after hygiene

Yes, yes, we can’t forget about this one 🙂 After using the toilet and before meals – wash your hands, no exceptions, for around 30 seconds. If you have the right products, disinfect door handles, cupboard handles and light switches, especially after walks or quick trips to the shop. When the weather’s good, it’s worth airing your bedding after you get up.

We hope these tips help you stay relatively calm while you’re at home and organise your time in a way that leaves you satisfied. Don’t forget about entertainment – board games with your loved ones, a series or a film – all of it is needed to keep you sane.
